Catherine C. Gregg
Co-Director of CFDM
Catherine and Douglas Gregg,
Co-Founders of Christian Formation and Direction Ministries, recently
moved from Southern California to Southern Utah, where Catherine serves
as Rector of Grace Episcopal Church in Saint George, Utah.
Douglas serves alongside her as an active volunteer, while
overseeing the growth and development of CFDM, especially the
development of new Networks in the Great Basin and the Southwest.
They both enjoy working together in training and supervising
spiritual directors in the CFDM Networks of the western United States.
Their permanent home is in Springdale, Utah, just outside Zion
National Park, which occasionally serves as a retreat site for
contemplative events and as a location for some of the training events
of CFDM.
CFDM offers a Certificate Program
in Christian Formation and Spiritual Direction in Southern Utah, usually
beginning in Feb of each year. For current information regarding dates,
fees, and application process, see the file below or contact Doug at
dgregg@cfdm.org.
Spiritual
Direction
The Gregg’s are
both able to provide spiritual direction, and are working to develop a
Network of Directors in Southern Utah and beyond, composed of men and
women who want to be part of the Network and who are already Directors
or are in training to be Directors.
CFDM-Utah is working with
graduates of the Certificate Program in Christian Formation & Spiritual
Direction offered by CFDM, as well as graduates of other training
programs, to provide ongoing supervision, evaluation, referral, and
continuing partnership for spiritual directors.
For information
regarding training, joining the network, or referral to a qualified
Director, contact the Regional Coordinator.
Local Events
Various events
are planned and resources made available by the Network in response to
requests and needs in the region. For additional information regarding
quiet days, spiritual formation events and weekend retreats, contact the
Regional Coordinator.
Retreat Centers
CFDM is
committed to locating, networking, and establishing retreat centers and
locations in this region (homes, cabins, established retreat centers)
where people can go for rest, solitude, prayer, self-guided retreats,
and Christ-centered spiritual direction. For current listings contact
the Regional Coordinator.
